On Tuesday 25 March 2025, the World Breastfeeding Trends Initiative (WBTi) UK 2024 Report was officially launched.
What is the WBTi?
WBTi was developed by the International Baby Food Action Network (IBFAN) and Breastfeeding Promotion Network of India (BPNI) and launched globally in 2004 with ten WBTi Indicators based on key recommendations from the 2003 WHO Global Strategy for Infant and Young Child Feeding (Global Strategy) and the 1990 Innocenti Declaration (updated 2005).

- Part 1 – Full Report
- Part 2 – Supplementary Information
- UK Report Summary 2024
- Separate report cards for the UK, England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
Unfortunately this latest report reveals little progress since 2016 when the last report, WBTi UK 2016, was launched.
